New Models for New Parents

New Models for New Parents was a collaborative project with three municipalities: Östersund, Strömsund, and Mora. In the project, we studied factors that affected parents’ participation in parenting programmes. The theoretical framework for the project was the Health Belief Model and Regulatory Focus Theory. Our work included development and evaluation of marketing strategies for recruiting parents to a Swedish parenting programme called Alla barn i centrum (ABC). We also studied Mora municipality as a successful example of recruting parents to various programs.
