Swedish UnaccomPanied yOuth Refugee Trial (SUPpORT)
In recent years, a considerable number of refugees have sought asylum in Sweden, many of whom are children and youth. Refugee youth, especially unaccompanied refugee minors, have often experienced trauma and are at significant risk of developing mental health problems such as symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression that can continue years after resettlement.

The Children and Parents in Focus Trial
Pre-school children's health is a prioritized research area in Sweden. Uppsala University has therefore conducted a study that examines the health and well-being of children and parents, and if it can be improved by parental support delivered through the Municipality or the Child Health Services. The study was called "Focus children and parents" - a study of 3-5 year olds in Uppsala County.

The summer of 2008 the Swedish National Institute of Public Health allocated 50 million SKr to six municipalities to enable them to strengthen and develop health promotion for children and adolescents in collaboration with a university. One of those municipalities was Uppsala municipality, which together with Uppsala County was granted funds for a 3-year project.
New models for new parents
New Models for New Parents was a collaborative project with three municipalities: Östersund, Strömsund, and Mora. In the project, we studied factors that affected parents’ participation in parenting programs.

The current Covid-19 pandemic has a big impact on the whole world, also on migrants and refugees. Although they are possibly a vulnerable group, there is very little information on how Covid-19 is changing the lives of refugees and migrants.
Children and adolescents' voices about 'corona'
How do children and youth experience the corona crisis? In the research project “Children and adolescents’ voices about corona”, we gather in voices and pictures from children and youth about how they experience the historical event that we are currently experiencing. A connected study on children and adolescents with neurodiversity about corona was conducted!
