New publication from the Research group Health Services Research
2021-08-24
A number of scientific articles from the research group have during the summer been published.
One article is written by Inger Holmström, Elenor Kaminsky, Ylva Lindberg, Douglas Spangler & Ulrika Winblad and is published in BMC Nursing. The article studies the perspective of Swedish registered nurses about managing difficult calls. Seven themes of difficult calls are generated and the nurses experience that language barriers and rude, agitated callers as increasing problems.
An other publication from the research group is conducted by Anton Modigh, Filipa Sampaio, Linda Moberg & Mio Fredriksson in Health policy. It studies the impact of patient and public involvement by comparing health research with healthcare. The method used is scoping review of reviews and the results suggest that it more common with impacts in health research and that the impacts often focus on research design and delivery. In healthcare it is more common with impact that focus on clinical/individual outcomes.
Finally, there is an article written by Inga-Britt Gustafsson, Ulrika Winblad, Lars Wallin & Mio Fredriksson in BMC Health Service Research. It studies factors that shape the successful implementation of decommissioning programmes by conducting an interview study with clinical managers. They conclude that in order to successfully implement a decommissioning programme, clinic managers and healthcare professionals must be given and take responsibility, for both the process and outcome.
